This is a full frame lens which I used to use on my 35 mm film camera and so it effectively extends to 450 mm on my Sony A100. I did not have a tripod with me and so had to use it handheld. I concentrated on taking close-ups of swans. This is one of the results. I set off for home after about half an hour - it was bitterly cold and my fingers were too numb to operate the camera any longer!
